Winston Preparatory School is seeking candidates that are flexible, organized, and have strong communication and computer technology skills to fill the full-time position of Substitute Teacher at the Whippany, NJ campus. This position is for the current school year (2026-2027).

Essential Tasks

Provide in-person coverage for academic classes, 1:1 Focus periods, lunch duties, and after school clubs as needed.
Deliver teacher-prepared lesson plans or adapt materials in real time to meet diverse learning profiles.
Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and positive behavior.
Communicate promptly with absent teachers or Leadership Team about lesson progress, student performance, and any concerns.
Contribute to a collaborative faculty culture by participating in professional development sessions and student-support meetings when coverage schedule permits.
Perform related work as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in an education-related field required
Candidates should have at least 2 years experience, special education experience a plus
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, effective classroom management, excellent organization, team-oriented, and a collaborative, flexible mindset
Must have competency with Google Classroom and technology

The salary range for the position is $50,000-62,000, commensurate with education and experience.
