Professional Development at Winston Prep
Winston Prep’s Continuous Feedback System isn’t just for students—it’s a fundamental part of how the Winston Innovation Lab fosters professional growth. Our professional development programs are tailored weekly for all faculty members, ensuring our educators continuously learn, collaborate, and stay up-to-date on the latest research in education and learning disorders.
Winston 101 equips first-year faculty with in-depth knowledge of learning disorders and research-based teaching methods before they enter the classroom. This program begins with an intensive summer workshop series, followed by a semester-long learning experience. Covering essential topics like the Continuous Feedback System and the Neuropsychological Paradigm of Learning, Winston 101 fosters a collaborative environment where new educators gain hands-on experience, participate in student case studies, and refine their teaching strategies alongside peers and mentors.
For teachers in their second to fifth years, this professional learning series ensures ongoing expertise in understanding learning and learning disorders. Monthly sessions feature the latest research on topics such as working memory, visual-spatial skills, and processing speed. Educators engage in small group discussions, case study reviews, and application exercises tailored to their students’ needs, keeping their teaching methods at the forefront of educational research.
Veteran faculty stay ahead of the curve through a monthly professional learning series focused on the latest research and its practical applications. Through case studies and collaborative discussions, teachers refine their approach to individualized student programming, ensuring that Winston Prep students receive the most effective, research-driven education.
Winston Innovation Lab fosters leadership growth through a unique opportunity for campus leaders to collaborate on current issues in education. Monthly discussions explore cutting-edge research and its impact on Winston Prep communities, helping school leadership teams apply insights effectively and shape the future of education at Winston Prep.
