Language & Literature Classroom Teacher & 1:1 Remedial Instruction Winston Preparatory School is seeking a dynamic educator to join our Whippany, NJ campus as both a Language & Literature teacher and a 1:1 Focus (remedial) instructor. Winston Prep is a co-ed day school for 3rd through 12th grade students with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities, expressive or receptive language disorders and executive functioning problems. Please consider this exciting opportunity if you possess:
  • BA or BS degree in Literacy, English, Special Education, or a related field
  • MA or MS in Speech-Language Pathology, Reading Specialist, Special Education, or Learning Specialist is a significant plus
  • Minimum of two years teaching language arts or specialized literacy to grades 3–12; background with students who have learning differences is highly desirable.
  • Training with multisensory and evidence-based reading/writing programs (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Lindamood-Bell, PAF, SRSD).
  • Ability to interpret psycho-educational evaluations and design data-driven, individualized curriculums and interventions. 
  • Exceptional written/ verbal communication, strong organizational and classroom management abilities, and a collaborative, flexible mindset.
