Junior Marketing Associate- Central Team

Winston Preparatory School is seeking excellent candidates for a full-time Junior Marketing Associate to join our Central Team, which interacts with and helps support all of our campuses. The position is an immediate opening. Below is a bit of background information regarding our school network and the position:
Winston Prep is a national network of campuses offering students with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, executive functioning difficulties (ADHD) and nonverbal learning disorders (NVLD), a highly individualized, holistic, and responsive education. Our nationally-recognized model serves students through grade 12, along with offering a multi-faceted gap year(s) program for students who are not yet ready for college or the workplace. At Winston Prep, expert faculty carry out ongoing, in-depth assessments to cultivate a deep understanding of students, helping them to advance at a meaningful pace and giving them the tools to independently learn and grow. All of our campuses and Winston Online Program, provide intense skill remediation while fostering independence, resilience, responsibility, and self-awareness. Our campus locations include: New York City Connecticut, New Jersey, Long Island, and California. Our Transitions program has two locations: New York City and San Francisco.
 
The Junior Marketing Associate assists Winston Prep’s marketing and communication efforts and priorities throughout the network, with a particular emphasis on supporting with coordination and development of social media posts; some website maintenance, revisions and search engine optimization; advertising tracking and management; and support with creation of public-facing communications to promote open house attendance, fundraising initiatives, and other marketing priorities. The Junior Marketing Associate will work closely with the Associate Operations Officer and Senior Marketing Associate.

**Any necessary training will be provided and encouraged.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare weekly agendas outlining current progress of marketing efforts ahead of team meetings
  • Efficiently file photo assets for social media, development, and other marketing usage
  • Manage and maintain the advertising budget tracking spreadsheet
  • Assist with submitting contracts for signatures and invoices for payment
  • Monitor website/advertising campaign performance analytics and metrics
  • Assist with implementation of social media strategies that will support continued growth and awareness of our school network (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
  • Assist with preparing a monthly social media content calendar on Later.com platform (social media postings will focus on supporting admissions, program awareness, development, student life, and engagement) utilizing assets and language aligned with the Winston Prep mission
  • Assist with posting content developed in calendar (posts, stories, reels, etc.) to corresponding social media channels on a consistent basis
  • Drive brand awareness, engagement and audience growth across social media platforms
  • Respond to inquiries and comments on Winston’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube accounts using approved language
  • Research and stay informed of digital trends and tools for social media platforms and marketing
  • Assist with some website maintenance including text and photo updates and implementation of  search engine optimization (SEO) recommendations (using Blackbaud platform)
  • Assist with producing public-facing communications to promote open house attendance, fundraising initiatives, and other marketing priorities.
  • Help ensure the adherence to Winston Prep’s brand, style, and voice in all marketing materials
  • Support the Associate Operations Officer and Senior Marketing Associate in preparation and delivery of any campaign and website performance tracking reports
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years relevant work experience, including demonstrated experience within communications and marketing fields
  • Proactive and exceptionally organized, able to meet deadlines 
  • Knowledge of main social media platforms including analytics
  • Excellent written communication skills, including writing and editing
  • Ability to prioritize across many simultaneous projects and timelines; Self-driven
  • Expertise with G Suite applications
  • Web edit experience and familiarity with BlackBaud preferred

This position is full-time remote with in-person meetings and campus visits, primarily within the tri-state area, required at the discretion of the COO and AOO. 

Salary Range: $40,000-50,000; commensurate with education and experience
