Winston Preparatory School is a co-ed private day school for 3rd-12th-grade students with learning differences, including dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities, expressive or receptive language disorders, and executive functioning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities for IT Coordination

Systems & Network Management
Oversee wired and Wi-Fi networks, filtering/blocking requests, and classroom projection systems.
Administer Google Workspace, Mobile Device Management (MDM), FileMaker access, and Zoom/Google Meet scheduling.
Maintain accurate hardware inventory; propose and track equipment orders, repairs, and vendor appointments.
Technical Support & Training
Provide troubleshooting and support for student and staff devices, printers, software, and related technology needs.
Create, manage, and provide orientation for staff and student accounts, including Google Classroom, shared drives, and other school-based platforms.
Provide all-faculty professional development in educational technologies to support effective classroom implementation.
Document technology procedures, workflows, and troubleshooting steps in Asana and other relevant platforms.
Conduct monthly classroom visits to provide students with customized technology instruction and support based on their needs.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Uphold data-privacy standards and ensure best practices in cybersecurity across all systems.
Monitor software updates, backups, and routine maintenance to keep the school’s digital environment secure.
Vendor & Administrative Coordination
Serve as primary liaison with external vendors (network, phone, copier, and other service providers).
Process vendor invoices, manage expense spreadsheets, schedule maintenance, and coordinate calendars.
Answer phone, direct calls, take messages, schedule appointments/manage Google Calendars
Intercampus technology liaison
Key Responsibilities for Math Instruction (2-3 Classes)

Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment
Teach students in a 1:1 and/or small class setting
Employ special educational strategies and techniques during class instruction to improve skills, including comprehension, abstract reasoning, executive function, and written language
Instruct students using a variety of techniques, including multi-sensory strategies, to generalize skills and to meet students’ varying needs and interests
Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students
Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, school policies, and administrative regulations
Communicate with parents to discuss their children’s progress and to determine priorities for their children and their individualized educational needs
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other outside professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) designed to promote students’ educational, physical, and social/emotional development
Collaborate with students’ teams and document weekly updates that will be shared with families, including observations in both academic and social-emotional realms
Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities
Perform related work as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Technology or a related field
Master’s degree (MA or MS) preferred
Two (2) or more years of IT support or network administration experience; K-12 setting preferred
Classroom teaching or training experience with ability to differentiate instruction
Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and project management skills
Proactive, creative problem solver who is forward-thinking, flexible, ambitious, and team-oriented
Proficiency in Google Workspace Admin, Windows/macOS environments, and basic networking
