Physical Education Teacher & Coach- New Jersey Campus

Winston Preparatory School is seeking a hard working, and dynamic Physical Education Teacher and Coach to lead our physical education program and help coach our athletic teams at our Whippany, NJ campus. This role requires expertise in physical education, athletics, health and wellness, along with a strong foundation in social-emotional learning to support and engage our diverse student population. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is solution-oriented, organized, innovative, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about fostering a love of sports and wellness, as well as bringing out the best in all students. This candidate must have strong communication skills. A minimum of a B.A. is required and previous teaching or coaching experience is strongly preferred. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Teach PE classes that promote fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being through sports and other physical activities 
  • Coach Cross Country and Basketball teams, fostering skill development, sportsmanship, and team spirit 
  • Assist with after school athletic clubs on off-seasons, such as flag football, pickleball, volleyball, and soccer 
  • Create a positive and inclusive athletic culture, integrating social-emotional learning strategies into all athletic programming 
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure athletics complement learning, academic and personal development goals.
